Zürich / CH. (mgb) Vor acht Jahren rief der Migros Genossenschafts Bund zusammen mit dem WWF das Projekt «Nachhaltig produziertes Palmöl» ins Leben und brachte damit international den Stein ins Rollen. In diesen Tagen werden in Südostasien die ersten Plantagen zertifiziert, die nach den Richtlinien des «Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil» (RSPO) nachhaltig Palmöl produzieren. Die Migros kauft Zertifikate für nachhaltiges Palmöl zum Schutz der Tropenwälder. Auch ihre Drittlieferanten sollen in Zukunft den Anbau von nachhaltigem Palmöl unterstützen.
