London / UK. (eb) «Britain?´s Got Talent» ist in etwa das, was «Deutschland sucht den Superstar» ausmacht – oder so ähnlich. Eigentlich hat der WebBaecker null Ahnung von den Talentshows, die hier und da und ebenso leicht verwechselbar über die Bildschirme flimmern. Kleine Sternchen produzierend, die meist schnell in der Versenkung verschwinden. Dieser Tage jedoch ist etwas passiert, was – und das kann man ohne Übertreibung so sagen – die ganze Welt berührt: Susan Boyle (48), nach außen hin kantige, struppige, arbeitslose Schottin und ihr Auftritt bei «Britain?´s Got Talent 2009». Chancenlos sah sie aus. Das Publikum lehnte sie ab und die Jury hatte auch nicht viel für sie übrig, bis – ja bis Susan Boyle zu singen begann. Seither sprechen die Menschen rund um den Globus von nichts anderem mehr als dieser kraftvoll anrührenden Stimme. Für die Jury nach eigenem Bekunden ein Privileg, ihr zuhören zu dürfen. Das teilt sie mittlerweile mit mehr als 20 Millionen (!) Internet-Nutzern, die das Video in den ersten fünf Tagen (!) nach Erscheinen auf Youtube gesehen haben – «I Dreamed A Dream» aus «Les Miserables».
