(insm) Das INSM-Regionalranking 2009 ist nach Angaben der Autoren «die» große sozioökonomische Vergleichsstudie der deutschen Regionen. 39 Indikatoren zum Wirtschafts- und Wohlstandsniveau von 409 Kreisen und kreisfreien Städten wurden dabei ausgewertet. Erneut haben Wissenschaftler im Auftrag der Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft die Lebens- und Standortqualität aller Kreise und kreisfreien Städte in Deutschland untersucht. Die Studie berücksichtigt insgesamt 39 ökonomische und strukturelle Indikatoren wie Altersstruktur, Ausbildungsplatzdichte, Kaufkraft, Produktivität auf der Ebene von 409 Kreisen und kreisfreien Städten bundesweit. Das INSM-Regionalranking ermöglicht detaillierte Vergleiche zwischen Regionen.
